Fiddle yard train cassettes

The fiddle yard train cassettes are made out of aluminium L-profil. 15 x 20 mm and 400 mm long. The lengts where cut at the Glazier where I bought them. Four lenghts for ca 70 kr (10$/7,5€).

To hold them togheter at 9 mm gauge I used two ca 12 mm wide, 5 mm thick Thermoplastic which i cut in my miter saw. I cleaned the surfaces before I glued them. I used a caliper and tape to get them aligned.

One drop of super glue on four spots, it hardened almost instant. I can hold the cassette in my hand and squize it so you see the aluminum come out of gauge on the middle without braking. The glossy plastic surface glides easy over the kitchentable.
